Yes! If you click the Give button on this site you will be taken to Oxy's giving page. To give to a specific area of support that you see featured on our Day For Oxy website, simply write in your designation in the box that reads: "Please use this box to indicate any special instructions related to your gift." What is Day For Oxy?
Day For Oxy is the Oxy Fund's annual giving day held in honor of the College’s Founders Day. On April 18, we will host our fifth annual Day For Oxy, with the goal of inspiring 2,024 donors to show their support. In its first four years, this event has raised more than $6.5 million thanks to the incredible generosity, excitement, and dedication of our Tiger community across the globe. Let's make this year's Day For Oxy the best yet!
When is Day For Oxy?
Day For Oxy is from 12:00 a.m. (PDT) on April 18, 2024 through 12:00 p.m. (PDT) on April 19, 2024.
What is GiveGab?
GiveGab is a nonprofit giving platform that helps nonprofits raise money, engage donors, and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently.
How much of my gift goes to GiveGab?
GiveGab retains a 3.5% platform processing fee from all donations. Credit card processing fees are an additional 2.5% + $0.30 for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). ACH payment processing is a flat $3.00 fee. As a donor, you can elect to cover these fees to help offset the cost and ensure that 100% of your intended gift goes directly to Oxy.

You can give to Day For Oxy through many different offline gift methods, including payment via check, donor advised fund, stock transfer and more. On April 18-19, if you would like to give to Day For Oxy but would prefer not to give online, please fill out this form. We will use the information you provide in order to add your contribution to our Day For Oxy website, ensuring your donation counts toward our 2,024-donor goal and all applicable challenge or matching gift opportunities. Advocates serve as ambassadors and peer-to-peer fundraisers for Day For Oxy, helping to spread the word, generate excitement, and encourage your networks to join you in supporting the College. Advocates are critical to helping us meet our 2,024-donor goal and reach new supporters to Oxy.

How is money raised from Day For Oxy used to help students, faculty and staff?
Donors to Day For Oxy can designate their gift to any area of the College. The main areas of support are:
The Oxy Fund (Area of Greatest Need): Gifts to the Oxy Fund provide flexible, current-use funds that allow Oxy to navigate the unexpected while enriching the student experience. The Oxy Fund supports the College’s greatest needs, including financial aid, campus sustainability initiatives, mental health support and services, and programming focused on student belonging.
Access & Opportunity: With 78% of Oxy students receiving some form of financial aid, raising funds for scholarships is the College’s top priority. On Day For Oxy, donors can give to previously-established current year and endowed scholarships that are being highlighted on the day.
Academic Departments, Programs & Services: At the heart of the Oxy experience is an education of the highest quality. On Day For Oxy, donors can give to one of 40 majors and minors across the arts, humanities and sciences, as well as programs supporting student research, global engagement and faculty mentorship.
Athletics: Gifts to the Tiger Athletics Fund support Oxy Athletics’ greatest needs and uphold core elements of the athletic experience including new equipment, travel, recruiting programs and facilities. You can also direct your gift to a specific sport of your choice. When giving to a specific sport on Day For Oxy, 100% of that gift will go directly to the sport of choice.
Other (Area of your choice): For those who would like to give to a specific area of the College that does not fall in one of the above areas of support, Day For Oxy provides the opportunity for donors to direct their gift to a specific College program. For example, gifts can be directed to student clubs like the Glee Club or Dance Production.
